What is it?
The fertility test for men or for couple trying to conceive offers a quick answer on the sperm count. This test would not indicate the level of performance of the spermatozoa or the exact sperm count. It does indicate if the male is fertile without explaining the data as to why there are still challenges to conceive.
Who is this test for?
The SpermCheck® Fertility Test for men is designed for couples or for the men who wish to know their sperm count in the comfort of their home.
This is the first step in the fertility process in order to eliminate one of the common problems of sperm count. There is always a lot of stress and expectation when a couple is trying to conceive and it does not seem to work in the beginning. The men are easier to test; this process allows determining the following steps to take afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a normal sperm count?
A normal sperm count is around 20 million per milliliter.
What is a low sperm count?
A low sperm count is under 20 million per milliliter.
If I have a positive result from SpermCheck, does it mean I am fertile?
Even if the test is positive, it does not confirm your fertility. 50% of infertility issues are related to the male, but 80% of men are not tested early on or at all. There are other factors that could affect the men’s reproductive cycle. A consultation with your physician would be necessary to investigate the semen of the person in more detail if the couple is not successful in conceiving the following weeks or months.
If I have a negative result from Spermcheck, does it mean I am infertile?
A negative result would indicate a sperm count below 20 million per milliliter. It does not prove that the man is fertile or not. It does not mean that the man won’t be able to conceive a child naturally. A negative result indicates that you should seek another opinion from your family doctor to investigate fertility further.
If I do not see a red line on the test, does it mean that the test invalid?
Yes, it means that it did not work.
Can I use the test more than once?
No, it is a single use test.
At what frequency should I test my sperm count?
Every three months.
What could be done to increase my sperm count?
Many lifestyle factors can influence the quantity or the quality of the sperm count. Smoking, drinking a lot of alcohol, exercising excessively does not help the sperm count production. Consult with a health professional to discuss these matters further.
What else could be done other than this test in order to validate the results?
An appointment with your family doctor will be necessary. The physician might have you go through some blood work. If that does not explain your fertility challenges, other tests will be necessary. Other tests for the female partner will also need to be performed in the process.
